Please keep in mind this was a few years back, but I don't have any recent pics. Can any jumpers help with my form?
I'm fairly new to jumping myself, so anyone feel free to correct me If I'm wrong.
I think you are too far out of the saddle in your two point, also you have to release a little better when going over the fence.
And maybe try a snaffle when you're jumping, a western bit doesn't work too well.

Honestly, you're a stumble away from being a lawn dart. Your base of support is not there. Your foot is too far into the stirrup, so your heel cannot come down and act as an anchor. You are pinching with your knee, so the rest of your lower leg is not secure either. You do seem to have the correct idea of folding at the hip instead of collapsing at the waist which so many do. You just aren't waiting for the horse to jump. Your horse is a serious leg hanger. That can be very dangerous. It would benefit both of you to work with low gymnastic grids where you can concentrate on waiting for your horse to jump and also give your horse predetermined striding to help him with his form.
i agree with myboypuck, you really need to work on lower jumps for now, that will help both you and your horse become acquainted to jumping. also, working with a trainer and getting lessons will help tremendously, if you arent already riding with a trainer, but if you dont have a trainer, you really shouldnt be jumping, that can be extremely dangerous if you arent experienced in jumping. watch those stirrups, your foot is way too far into the stirrup, which can be very dangerous as your foot can get stuck. try to get the stirrup on the ball of your foot and get those heels down and grip with your calves instead of your knees. you have a very beautiful horse though :)
You are jumping ahead and out of the saddle. It's an easy way to come off if your horse refuses or runs out at the last moment, and it unbalances your horse when you put that much weight on the front end. And yes, remember to keep that stirrup on the ball of your foot, and to release maybe a bit more. Your reins are loopy, but I feel like your release needs to be up just a bit higher.
Yes, gymnastics are good, as well as no stirrup work and proper two-point work. Focus on keeping your butt above the tack but not in front of it. This creates muscle memory and will help you when you are actually jumping.
It looks like your horse lost impulsion to the jump or just doesn't really care about the lower fences. Be sure you have enough momentum going!
