I seen Paul McCartney.
I thought I'd share some pictures from the Paul McCartney concert I went to on August 1st at the Fedex Field in Washington DC (Landover, Maryland)
I still cannot grasp the fact that I had seen a living legend, a BEATLE! I have ALWAYS loved their music, I grew up with it, growing up with my dad, having a good taste of music is in your blood.
It was the GREATEST show I have ever seen, I don't think any show could EVER be as great as this one. Paul has not changed over the years, being 67. . . he was dancing, singing, and joking around with the audience like he was 27, and he still looks great, still has that boyish charm to him. His conversational tone with the audience and his stories of the old days was charming.
It was great seeing people my age, (18+) dancing and singing the songs, and seeing the older people going back into their younger days, He's just so likeable by any age group.
It was so fantastic, he gave a GREAT firework show during Live and Let die, and hearing over 100,000 people in that stadium sing Hey Jude all together, got pretty emotional to some people.
Towards the end of the show (noting that Paul did not stop for one break til this point) him and the band/crew bowed and left the stage, and came back for an encore, and bowed again, left, and came back and sang 8 more songs.
It was the greatest 3 hours I could ever have, Paul McCartney lived up to his legendary status. I think I speak for the rest of the audience when I said I left the stadium very satisfied.
Here's the complete set of songs he had played:
1. Drive My Car
3. Only Mama Knows
4. Flaming Pie
5. Got to Get You Into My Life
6. Let Me Roll It
7. Foxy Lady (instrumental jam)
9. The Long and Winding Road
10. My Love
12. Here Today
13. Dance Tonight
14. Calico Skies
16. Mrs. Vandebilt
17. Eleanor Rigby
18. Sing the Changes
19. Band On the Run
20. Back in the U.S.S.R.
