Weight Crit. Romeo and Pinto
I have 2 geldings.
When I bought Romeo last year he was about 300 pounds overweight. I think he looks pretty good, but I am still thinking he could lose weight.
What do you think?
VV THis is him when I first bought him...
And this is my other boy PintoBean. I think he is a chunker. we just got him June 4 of this year. I just want other opinions on his weight...
^I will get better pics of Pinto tonight...
While they both could probably stand to loose a little more weight, I kinda like them the way they are. They would probably firm up more with a lot more wet blankets.
The easiest way to firm him up would be to work, work ,work! the more exercise he gets the more he'll tone up. Just be careful not to do the same thing over and over like longing him or going over the same ground poles more than a few times a session cause hell burn out.
They are some cute boys!
I think they actually look pretty good for their build/bone structure. Just with some work, getting in shape/toning up, they'll look awesome!
I think toning will do more for their overall look than further actual weight loss.
I agree that more muscle would make them look better. I don't really think they need to loose more weight, but I have a soft spot for chunky QHs.
Anyone have anything to say about Conformation?
Is this what you meant about wet saddle blankets?? lol! The white is not a glare, that is his normal color, he is so sweaty so he is well Grey!
