What is proud flesh?
might seem like a stupid question, but I see that term a lot on here and I'm curious

Essentially, it boils down to the body producing too much flesh in it's rush/effort to heal a wound - - so that rather than the healed area ending up being level with the surrounding flesh, it will actually protrude.

sorta what themapack said. but its not really that its trying to heal too fast, its because of where it is located. the skin is usually too tight and has trouble growing back over the wound, therefore the healing tissue underneath is protruding beyond the actual surface of the wound.

heres a good link on it Proud Flesh
