I'll be having my gastric bypass surgery Oct. 6th. I'm scared and excited at the same time. My incentive to keep me going is to be able to ride my horse and show next year. I will be showing in halter for sure. I'm thinking about showing in walk trot and maybe try English. However there's so much about English I don't know but I'm willing to learn.
I have considered the surgery as well.. I wish you all the luck and a speedy recovery after it as well.. I couldn't bring myself to do it. But I wanting to have it for the same reasons as you. Again good luck with it
You'll do just fine. As I always told myself, just show up for a snooze. Not much work on your end and you get to have some time off to recover, which is always a bonus.
Make sure you treat yourself with some movies or books, crafts etc. Whatever it is you enjoy doing at home in your spare time.
congrats on your surgery!!!!!! I had lap band last july and found a horse to start riding again last month. Do every thing you doc tells you and walk walk walk lots. Best wishes
