Twist gets that lovely build up of goo, on the fronts of his hind legs, from splash back from peeing. i can usually curry it realy good, and get some of it off, but never all of it. anyone got any good ways to get that off? especially with the cold coming (it snowed here today :-x), i wanna see if i can clear it up.
I'm waiting for this too. Toby is a messy pee-er. Always splashes on his front legs too.
i know! and i can't get it off! i just gave him a bath this weekend, and tried to shapoo it out with little luck....sniffle.
I guess im blessed then my gelding is a "tidy" pee(er) lol I love how he wags his tail back and forth when hes peeing though
Since your worried about winter coming on, you can probably get a rag wet with water, preferably warm, but if you only have cold, he won't die if he gets a little wet. And scrub scrub scrub. You can add soap to the process if you want, and just use the towel rather than the hose to take all the soap off.
ORRR, if you want to make it really easy on yourself, invest in some Goo-Gone. You can find it at most Home Depot, hardware type stores, and it won't damage your horse's skin of hair. As long as you make sure he doesn't eat it, you'll be fine. It also helps if you have a horse who is a magnet for tree sap. I swear by Goo-Gone. =]
