**New Pics** update to "filly not what I expected"
So I went and saw the filly today. Pics are still not great, as I could not get withing 10 feet of her. Turns out she's not as bad as I thought from the pic, but still not quite what I hoped for. She IS cow hocked, and her right front is a little clubby. Mutton withered, but so is her dad, so I should expect that! Also put an offer on a 2yr old of similar breeding. He has way too many horses, so he's cutting me a deal. No pics of him, my battery died! He's not flashy, but will be a good using horse. He has 12 rides to date.

***sorry I couldn't get the pics in the post - everytime I pasted the code, the wrong pic would come up! Don't know what that's all about!

Other then being a little cow hocked, she has really good muscles from what I can see so far. Shes not terribly downhill, and the little bit she is, she will grow into herself as she gets older. I like her neck too. She is really pretty, and I think will be a looker when she gets older.

Thanks! I feel a lot better after seeing her!

Good! Thats really good. I am sure she is just in one of her ugly stages. I think she will even out as she gets older. Have you thought of a name yet?

shesinthebarn 09-21-2009 11:41 PM

I think I'm going to call her "Sookie". Have you ever seen the show "True Blood" on HBO? Sookie is the main character. Not sure though!

I think that name fits her really well actually!

I don't mind her at all, the only thing that I'm not a huge fan of is her hip. I like to see a HUGE hip on a horse. I'm sure she will grow into a beauty. With breeding like that, she better!! :)

I've added the pictures for ya as well!

Thanks FGR - I'm a Mac moron.
Ya, I like a big bedonkadonk on a horse bred like that too - that is my fear, that she won't be overly substantial. I'm 5'10, so I need a bigger horse, too!

she looks like a nice filly.
