I have a meeting today, about getting a pony..

Ok. Well on my nana and grampa's farm (its and olive oil business, they are soon opening a cafe) I have begged for a horse or pony. Anyway, now that I am older, they have decided if I can make the money and figure it all out, sure!

Anyway, I have an Aunty. Like, all my mums side of the family are into horses. Ok. And she had orses the pull the little carty things (trotters?). She also has an adopted daughter (4 or 5, lol, i wish i had a horsey mum. i live in the city).

Anyway, I am having a meeting/cafe lunch too meet up. Thats were we will discuss horses and ponies.
THEN, I GOT A SHOCK!
She has a pony at her place she wants me to ride, BUT, she needs to see me ride. She wants to kinda test my riding, like see if I can take this pony all the way.

I can only:
Walk
Trot
Canter
Steer
Stop and
Jump low cavaletti (sp?)
I also went out cross country once, that was fun. We jumped a log. Not sure how high it was, near full cav size. One time we galloped, but we were supposed to canter. The ponies always do that at my riding school.

Any tips if someone is online now?

I guess you are beginner? That's very good if you've never had horses! (have you taken many lessons?) I found it to be a great achievement when I actually started riding to be able to stay ON the horse lol. I wouldn't worry about galloping. I've only been riding for 1 year and 7 months (give or take, i've lost track lol), and I've never galloped - I'm a bit of a wuss that way hehe.

Thanks Sparky.

I have been riding for around a year and few terms. But we aren't alowed to jump higher than my instructors knees for safety reasons until we are ready.
