First off (which I'm sure people will know)..I'm new...I'd post in the introduction section but I'm off to work soon and don't have time to do two posts
But anyways I am going to be putting my Quarter Horse on a ration balancer but am confused as to the different types on the market as well as what would be better for him. He is just on pasture and hay, no grain.
I am looking for something that is LOW in fat (he's a good weight now in my opinion) but has all the vitamins and minerals that he needs. I think he might not be able to digest the hay that he has been getting properly as he has a hay belly even though the hay is good quality.
(no it is not worms, I know that)
What are types of ration balancers on the market and has anyone used and liked certain brands? I'm not a fan or Farnum as I don't find that their stuff works at all (well mainly their fly sprays and such).
I've tried googling ration balancers and really not coming up with anything.
Would anyone care to help me find different ration balancers? I know there is LinPro as that is what a nutritionist recommended (she makes it) but not sure what others are out there.
