Old wound care
Hootie got scraped up a bit on his hind lower leg. It was as if he scraped going over a log or something. It wasn't deep and didn't cause any lameness, just took the hide off him. It's been there for months and although it healed quickly with no issues, he can't grow hair there. It looks as if I tried to whack him with a board! There is an area of about 1" wide by 2" long. It's kind of hard like a callous now. Doesn't ever bleed or open up again...just like an old scar.
Any ideas on how I may get hair growing again??

you wont get hair growing on a wound like that, If its like a callious then its going to stay like that there is no way of growing hair... i knew a horse that had something like that... and there was just no way of getting hair to grow back

Try MTG. There is something else but I can't think what it's called. Try MTG though. But if it is a scar then it won't grow hair.
