Gypsy horses

We have chosen our favourite breed, the Gypsy Horses, They are absolutely stunning looking horses. What are they like, are they good as family horses or do they need to work? Are health tests breed specific or are they the same for all breeds? What health tests do we need to look for? So much to find out!!!

The Gypsy Vanner was originally bred by Gypsy's as carriage horses. The Gypsy horse was bred for courage, calmness, strength, and to be loyal. I have never owned one, but they are gorgeous, and pricey for good blood lines.

Every horse needs work, and it's more of a personality thing to whether the horse is a family horse or not. Some are on the shorter side by they have a good range of height. I would suggest going to websites who breed them to find more about them.

Don't know much about them except they are beautiful. I'm seeing more and more of them. One was being ridden at a local Celebration of the Horse last Saturday.

Actually, they can do just about anything, up to a certain level. Clydes work, even with all their feather - its the same thing. Check this out:

Also, in case you haven't looked at prices lately, you can find A LOT for below 10k. In fact, I just bought one for less than that. Check this site out:
