Tips for fixing "piano hands"
So, I never really noticed I had the problem of piano hands...until I started seeing pictures of myself riding. I just didn't notice I was doing it when I was riding, but when I saw the pictures, eek!

Any tips on how I can fix this?

Try holding your crop with both thumbs to keep them in the correct position.

Oohh! Good idea, MyBoy!!! I have to try that!

A lot of my piano hand problems went away when I started paying more attention to how far forward my hands were. When I focus on keeping my upper arms and elbows at my sides, my hands largely fix themselves. I don't know if that will help you at all, but... :D

You could get a stick, not very big but not a twig and put it under your thumbs. Then if you roll in you break the stick. Its not a long term thing but eventually you would just get used to riding that way.

I think the way my instructor used to explain it was like "holding two cups of water and if they move the water falls out" but it was never a big problem for me.

Remember rolling your hands will most likely stick your elbows out. So also focus on keeping your elbows straight and in and your hands should follow suit.
