Hehe, nothing special just a pic of me jumping the highest yet on this pony doing doubles! Since I'm not a very confident jumper untill I'm faced with the jump i just wanted to know how I look on this pic and if I'm doing everything right and in the right position etc. I understand the pic isn't of amazing quality :(
Me Jumping Oscar:
I'm glad that you got your confidence to jump that fence! It's a great feeling after you acomplish something like that! So congratulations!
I won't be to picky, but your leg slid back and it looks like your heal came up. That means that you lost your base and you started pushing on the pony's kneck. Just work on those leg muscles and you will see improvement! I use to do the same thing and after working on that I have the confidence to jump fences that most people my age wouldn't.
Good Job though! I absolutely love your pony (ponies are my weakness ha ha ha)
keep Up the Great work and keep us updated
Aww hey thanks that helps :D Yea i notice now my heel and now as to why i landed a bit funny n forward in the saddle. Hehe that pic was taken at my riding school and so that pony isnt mine sadly  but he is very nice to ride tho very very fast! and since that lesson im now jumping one from the top on those pink jumps on that pony! but not doubles, just a single :) thanks for your advice ill work on it :D
Your leg has slipped back, and you are too far forward. Try and keep your leg underneath you, heel down, and butt alot closer to the saddle. Your hands look nice, but are a little too far up on his neck, which is a consiquence of jumping ahead. Try and work on your two point alot on the flat also, that will make your legs stronger, and get your position better.
Im glad you have the confidence to jump an oxer, work hard and you will get there!!!
Hehe thanks looods =D I tried jumping that pony again and we came at the jump a lot slower (hes very strong) and my instructer said i wasnt as far forward which was good... i think why im forward on that pic above is coz i was pulling him back as he was going waaay to fast but then he stoppd a little before the jump and i leant forward a bit to kick him on. another thing i need to work on is tha blance between keeping him steady and keeping him going :)
your lower leg needs to come foward a bit,and push your heels down.to me it looks like your standing in your stirrups rather than folding.try to push your hands a little more foward and fold a bit more.
Ok thanks for the tips :D
