Short tail! :(
My horse doesn't have the longest tail. I've been putting MTG in it to help it grow but does anyone have any other suggestions that might work better?

M2G is awesome. You can also spray it with healthy hair... do not brush it, pick it apart if it gets tangly but don't brush it... is this the 6 year old?

Yes it is, I was thinking of loosely braiding it and redoing it every week but he's in his stall all day when its muddy & i'm afraid he'll get it caught on something and rip even more of his tail out.

I wish I could tell you, my horse has a very short tail. Just above the back of the hawk...yuck.

i would def braid it ! just dont dont dont brush it !

my horse has the longest thickest tail ever but i still never brush it ! it drags on the ground a lot even though i cut it every few weeks

Give it some Biotin. It is good for growing hair and making their hooves stronger =]

well, from your avatar, the horse looks like his tail has been eaten, like my poor boy's:
My boy, Twit, was out with his sisters (twitty is half appy) and his tail wouldn't grow. we were sad because we thought he had appy hair. BUT after putting him out with different horses, he started to grow his tail out. now its way longer and really thick, too. All I did was spray it with cowboy magic every once in a while and never brushed it. now its almost ok looking! lol

fehrground-My boy's tail is just a little past his hocks, it's grown just a little bit since we've gotten him

gypsygirl- Thanks (: i'll try that this winter and see how that goes

chevyprincess- Thanks, i'll look into getting some (:

lovethesaddlebreds-Yeah, i'm pretty sure his tail was chewed off because the original owners had a yealing on the property that was in the same pasture as my horse. Sorry to hear about your horse having his tail chewed off! ):

My horses has grown about threeish inches since I got her in April. It was cut off and not chewed.
