Is my saddle to small for me?

Also does anyone know of a good saddle fitter in GA? Thanks!

Try SouthernTrails (he's a member on the forum). Why do you think your saddle doesn't fit you? It seems to be fine although I'd like to see less boot in the stirrups - ride more on the balls of your feet.

Thanks! I will try that but I really need one that will be able to come to my barn, which is harder than I thought it would be lol (the saddle needs to be reflocked). Thanks everyone!

It looks correctly fitting to me. It seems to be a jumping saddle, and jumping saddles are smaller than most saddles. In a jumping saddle, the flap is shorter and more forward (as well as being smaller) so that is probably why you feel that it seems too small, but again I think it fits you very nicely.

it looks like it fits you to me ! you should be able to put your hand behind your butt, if your hand fits your saddle is not too small =]

I guess I am not used to the shorter flap, it doesn't feel to small but when I look down my knee looks so close to the edge of the flap. Also are my stirrups the correct jumping length? Thanks.

The photos are 3 X 1milli second images of a moving object and you ask for comment. It is not really fair on you or the viewers to do a critique.

Herewith 4 web sites which will give you information as to how an English saddle works and how to fit it.
Look up (look for English translation.)
Spend an hour or so reading what these saddle experts say.

From my inexperienced eye - and I am not an expert saddle fitter - your saddle needs to be checked out by a professional. I personally wonder if it is sitting level and it may be throwing your seating posture out. In two of the photos you are leaning forwards with your weight in the stirrup irons. But how can I possibly tell from a photo?

Lucy nothing replaces the expertise of a trained & experienced saddle fitter. Find one or at least find an old, well experienced english rider.
