Check it out: Weaning
Alright, So I've been collecting these rescued mares (13). Some are at weight, many are still under. But anyways, I found a non-registered impressive bred stallion to breed to them.
Any suggestions on weaning them and such?

Well i think you should put the mom and babies side by side in bard wire pens so that the baby would get cut up really bad if it tired to nurse or get wiht the mom, that way it would know not to do it again.

Don't bother weaning them.

Yes, All were bred on the same week. So that they all drop at once. Ya know, to make it easier.

Hm, that's a hard decision.
It is easy to just not worry about it, but at the same time.. I'm sure they would learn their lesson from the barb wire.

o true, ya just not weaning them would be so much easier, you might as well leave the baby colts studs until there about 1 that way they get all muscly and what not.
