Boots? Okay today I purchaced a set of No Turn Bell Boots for my horse who constantly pulls shoes. Is it okay for me to leave them on him while he is in the pasture? Also what sort of jumping boots should I get? Im clueless...There are wayyy to many different kinds  |
I've seen lots of horses who tend to pull shoes or clip their feet wear bell boots in the pasture and they were all fine. |
The bigger the bell boot the better for the pasture. At least that's what my farrier tells me. |
Yep, there should be no problem leaving the bell boots on him while in pasture. Just be sure to take them off every so often (like while grooming) to make sure they're not rubbing any sore spots or anything. |
You can buy cheap rubber bell boots that are perfect for the paddock, best of all, if they are stood on, they will break. Also be careful of the horses heels, ive seen horses that have worn bell boots in the paddock that have gotten a greasy heel like fungus on their heels because of the environment the boot creates. |
