Reinsman "Little S Hackamore" ?
Does anyone use one of these or have experience with one?
I was told that my new horse seems to go best in this. I've been reading up on them and the general consensus is that it's best for slow work and training, as it "doesn't have a lot of 'whoa' ".
I'm certainly not out to start racing or otherwise go tearing up the road full-tilt, but really, is it going to be enough? This horse can run when he wants to!!
Supposedly does not have a lot of rate to it. I find it depends on the horse. I really like it.
I used to use one on my ex race horse who is STRONG, but it didn't work on my old barrel horse very much. It really depends on the horse. It works great for horses who respond well to nose pressure, because the curb chain on this bit doesn't have a whole lot of action and it has no legit purchase.
