My horse ate a feather today...
Ok so it sounds like a really silly question, but I'm curious/concerned...
The chickens got out and invaded the feeding area, it was quite comical actually... the poor horses were so distraught, and ended up moving their OWN food dishes to the other side of the paddock, I went with them to battle the stupid birds away from the food and when I looked up my gelding had a gross, dirty chicken feather in his mouthful of grain and ended up eating it before I could pull it out.
SO, feathers aren't things I feed normally lol, but do you think it would cause any problems?
He/she/they Will be fine.Mine pick up feathers all the time.
I was just worried because when I went out there a while ago he was laying down full out stretched on his side and didn't get up until I was about close enough to yell in his ear.
But he seemed fine after that...
Dangit mom leave me alone
