Job opening without the description...hmmm
so as most of you know I officially quit stripping on Saturday/Sunday morning. I've been job hunting since and a little before and have sent in numerous resumes only to hear nothing back (note: resumes said nothing about dancing).
So I get a call on sunday and monday from a couple places that need a receptionist, did those interviews and was told I was well liked, had a great personality and should expect a call next week or the week after.
I got another call today from a lady on a very bad phone connection and all I caught out of it was : customer service, no experience, tacoma, today, name please?
so I said ummm ok? Gave my name, hung up and called back. This time the line was clear and I caught the rest of it, mostly scheduling me for an immediate opening for customer service lines and they need an interview today. So I have no idea what kind of customer service, or the company except they sell testing cleaning products of some sort and won't release anymore information until they meet me.
So I'm doing that in about 2 hours. on one hand I'm a little nervous because I have no idea what I'm going into, but on the other hand I have a lot of customer service experience even well before I started dancing so if it's something I'd like to do I know I can do it. So I guess if you can, wish me luck? :?
oh and completely off topic from this off topic post...I just realized one of my dogs will be 2 on thanksgiving. So that means extra turkey left over for the doggies. :-o
Good luck! :-)
It's always a bit scary and anxious to go into a new job/career field. You can do it!
Good luck, I hope it goes well!
I've got my fingers crossed
so I got the job BUT declined. Apparently they didn't tell me the name over the phone because it's Kirby vacuum and they do NOT have a desk position, that was only in the ad so people would come in (or so the lady interviewing said). So she offered me the door to door sales position and I had to laugh. I explained to her if she went through her files she would see a Josh ...... who sued earlier that year for not recieving his commissions. I was the one who helped set up his case (with my dads help) and after reviewing prior cases Kirby, at least the one in tacoma, was not at all a reliable source of income. She said she hadn't been with the company long enough to know this. So that one didn't go so well.
I do have interviews next week set up for what I have been told is another desk position. This time though I know for a fact it's a desk position because I checked it out.
That was disappointing though. If it was a desk position that would have been great and I would have been hired.
I'm sorry. It's nasty if you, in general, bump into a company which isn't so faithful.
I've come across with them occasionally.
Good luck with the next interview!
Thank you! I'm still looking
good luck I hope the next one is the right one
Good Luck!! It's tough out there right now, but if you have the right mind set you should be able to get something. I'm in Oregon and I hear from my customers and some of my friends just how tough it is with all the loss of work and the limited jobs. Keep your head up and stay confident!
Hah. I "got" a job for Kirby once but declined as soon as they told me what it is.
Watch out for Cutco cuttlery too.
