Round Pen Work

These are from earlier today when I did round pen work with my boy =]

In this first one, he is doing a turn to the inside, his legs look weird don't they? Is shows how scrawny they are, lol.

Him being a good boy and keeping that inside ear on me:

I could stare at this picture all day! He looks so good. Haha, very muscularly toned and gorgeous

This was after I just finished and I was getting him to follow me around the pen. It is so exciting!

And after that my boyfriend gave me a hand and I just hopped on his back. That was the funnest part!:D I love the feeling. It's a thrill, you really have to trust the horse since you have no control really.

I love that rollback one... and agree with you on the trust. It takes a lot of work, but it is soooooo worth it!

My mare came to me afraid with no trust, and now I can wrap her lead around her neck and she'll follow me around campus without me holding it...It's a great example to the students here, too, because they have all experienced the opposite style of horse training...the 'breakin 'em in style'... They aren't used to methods that aim for respect through trust.
