What a difference a year makes...
This is Forest, our Belgian (not registered, presume he's a mix) . He came to us a year ago as a 2yr old (he was born in early November, as well). He was given to us to help his feet, by the lady that rescued him a few months before struggled to get weight on him (he actually looks good in the first shots compared to what he looked like when she took him in). These first two pics are of him the day he arrived.
I had the vet come out and check him over, and he had two bad teeth (the baby teeth didn't shed properly and had flipped sideways, cutting his cheeks, making for infection, poor digestion, etc. ).
Fast forward a year to the day of when he came home...we parked him in front of the same building and had hubby dear hold him again to show how much Forest has changed.
And...at a strapping 3yrs old, he has doubled his body weight, is very sound, and is learning ground driving very well. Next spring he will be pulling a real cart, and I will be riding him some.
Thanks for looking. =)
cool lo0okin alot better gud job!!!:)
wow !! he sure has grown & filled out !! they do so much growing at that age i love seeing it happen =D
Amazing! Pat yourself on the back for a job well done :)
he looks fabulous, my new foal has the same kind of back end as forest had when he was younger so that gives me hope that he will fill out,
well done again, you did an amazing job
You've done a great job with him!
he looked kinda sad in the before shot, and in the after one he ACTUALLY looks happy, aside from filling out nicely he also has a shiny clean coat as opposed to a dull one previously! lucky duck of a guy you have :)
He is so shiny and filled out! And he looks happy! Great Job!
Very nice to see the improvement. He will be a heavy boy I think. Look at that neck and those legs!
