riser pad slips
My trainer told me I needed to get a riser pad for my horse.

This is the kind I got.

The problem is that it keep falling off when I ride. Is there something I can get to keep it in place? Right now I'm just using duct tape to hold it to the saddle.

Duct tape on leather *cringe*

I have used a riser pad like this one:

and never had any slipping problems. Does your riser pad slip side to side or out the back? Maybe use a saddle pad (under the riser) that has a thick rolled edge to create a barrier around the riser pad. Or just buy one like the link above. =)

It slips right out the back

Yeah, I bet a pad with a thick, rolled edge (like the fancy sheepskin ones) would create enough of a barrier behind the riser to not allow it to slip back.

Or now that I think about it, you could probably duct tape (or even glue/sew) the riser pad to your regular pad. That way you're not putting tape on your saddle!!
