Snaffle D-ring w/ Copper Mouth
Hey everyone !
I just wanted to know what everyone's opinion's are for a copper d-ring snaffle with a copper mouth,
I am looking to purchase one, but what are the pro's and con's of having a copper mouth ?
Any additional opinion's and such are very appreciated
Copper mouths are great but get a good quality one. I had a copper dee ring and the copper was too soft. You could see bite marks in it, and had a sharp edge from the wear.
Would you say that this one is good quality :) ?
I would shop for a brand name one. Might be a little more expensive but it will last. Its hard to tell without looking at the bit, and trying to scratch the copper.
okay thank you :)
Okay, well that bit is a Metalab bit, any one with those brand bit's with copper good quality ?
Friendly Bump :)
That is the bit I use. It says Korsteel on the side. I like it and my horse seems to like it. No chance of pinching the corners of the mouth.
I paid I beleive $29.
I've heard that if it does get sharp edges you can just file them down. Don't quote me on that though as I haven't owned one.
