Great time teaching in Canada!
I just returned home from Canada where I taught a dressage/jumping clinic. The facility was really nice and the students were a real treat.
Whitaker Stables | Welcome
I arrived in a whiteout blizzard. But, hey, I love snow and we get precious little of it in North Carolina! I was able to work with really talented students in both dressage and those headed for the jumpers. There were the usual problems that each rider was able to deal with and improve. I couldn't resist hopping on a few of the horses to see what they were about. Good thing you can't fit horses in the overhead bins in the airplane. Anyway, a good time seemed to be had by all. I'll, probably, be headed up there again late spring/early summer.
The farm has a hundred and forty acres for a new cross country course. They were talking water complex and banks!! Hope to help make that happen. Canada could use a new recognized event....EH?!!
Here is the owner, Anita, on her dressage horse (he loves jumping better, Anita!! LOL!) in the last lesson of the clinic.
One morning I got up early, before all the people started showing up, and got a few photos of the farm. I sure wish it was in NC.
The future XC course!!
Anita's sport pony breeding program is showing great results. Her young stallion, Sir Lancelot, wishes he was playing in the snow.
Looks like alot of fun!
Definitally a nice facility :D
