When the snow melted this spring, end of April, we plowed and seeded the bottom pasture. Right after I seeded, it rained, then rained, and rained some more, for almost 2 months off and on. It's coming up really well, roots are super strong, I think I can turn the horses out on it come August
I used Dryland pasture mix, same stuff we used for the lawn. No lawn seed for horse people! Yes I do occasionally let my horses graze in the yard before I have to mow it, lol.
I am jealous of the all the green and the trees. we are dry and hot and I have to irrigate my pastures and with the water shortages, they look sad.
