National Show Horse? At my barn all the horses have cards on the outside of their stalls with info about them. Show name, barn name, height, color, owner's name, etc. One of the things on there is the horses breed. I was looking at one of the cards yesterday and for the horse's breed it said Andalusian/ National Show Horse. Is there actually a breed called National Show Horse? It seemed kind of odd to me. |
Yes indeed, it is a breed. It is a mix between the American SaddleBred, and Arabian. They are marvelous horses =] Generally double or triple registered, as half arabian, NSH and sometimes pinto, if they are spotted. But yes, they are indeed seperate breeds =] |
Ditto what XxhunterJumperxX said--- If you want more info on the breed, here is their registry's website-- National Show Horse Registry As well as the Wikipedia page about them-- National Show Horse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
Thanks for the info guys! |
They are pretty amazing looking horses :D At the one county fair that we used to show livestock at there was a girl with a National Show Horse. Man, that horse had action! She did everything with him and excelled at all of the events. |
Moon's a NSH, he's awesome xD It's a great breed, and so are Arabs and Saddlebreds |
