Hi everyone,

Can you guy's tell me you're opinion of this Saddle pad ?
What do you think about it ? any personal experiances ?
I dont want to dish out a bunch of money.. and not really get the results i was looking for...
So any opinions or something about this saddle pad, what you think about it ? Quality, Personal experiances ? if it is worth that much, etc.. Its $99

Indigo doesnt have any back or pain issues or anything, i am just looking for something that will be comfortable for him. We will be doing SJ and English pleasure.. and he is high withered, so to me the most amount of comfort for him is a must.

There is also this one.. im not sure if i can really afford it that much, but its only a few extra dollars right ? $109.95

Does your saddle aready fit properly?

TwisterRush 01-15-2010 11:03 PM

Yes it does (:
I made sure already, without a saddle pad.

There is no such thing as a pad that offers "Comfort" especially with a saddle that already fits properly. By you adding a 1/2 pad such as the Cavalo *and yes, I owned this very pad until I sold it* you will be making your already properly fitting saddle, snugger on your horse.

Just like putting layers of socs on and then putting your shoes on.

All these 1/2 pads that you see on the market today, are advertised to sucker people in to buy them and waste their money.

The only time you want to get a 1/2 pad, is to add more horse to a saddle that is too wide.

By you adding xtra padding under your saddle, you are creating more issues for your horses back than good.

NOW - on that note, if you were to use a 1/2 pad and only a 1/2 pad without another pad under it, fine - but be careful to not add too much bulk.

IF you want to add padding to relieve your horses withers, get a sheepskin pommel pad:

I wouldn't be adding more bulkage under your already properly fitted saddle.

Thank you MIE (: that really helped.
Than i wont plan on purchasing those pads, they did look pretty bulky, and as mentioned i did want more relief and comfort, Just wasnt sure as to what to look at exactly.

Again thank you.
So Scratch this thread now (:

My horse has an extremley high wither! I have to use a pro-lite riser pad because no saddle (unless custom made) would fit his wither!

I have a cutback saddle, For indigo who has really high withers. But the saddle fits wonderfully, and doesnt bother his withers the slightest
