ok well I think it would be SOO much fun to do a freestyle! :D
I think i want to use a maybe one or two songs with words... but, i have heard so many people talk about how 'frowned upon' it is, haha well, im the kind of person that would do that JUST because its frowned upon :D
I think using a sogn or two with words makes the freestyle more fun, and i personally dont care about looking proffesional, im not that kind of person.
I was wondering, what do you guys think about freestyles to music with words?
LOL The only think unprofessional about freestyle IMO, is when Anky used her voice for her freestyle... It was, as Simon Cowell would say; Horrific.
Do it. It's not as if you're competing for 20 grand, eh?
^ haha ya, sadly no 20 grand :( haha oh and another question... will i get disquelified if i sing along? haha i have a habit of singing to the radio while i ride....
I would go for it! I knew someone(turned out to be a total douche, but we won't go into that ;)) who won a comp doing a freestyle to Bye Bye Bye!
I think singing along would be bad. You can't speak to your horse in regular dressage, so I could see them getting you DQed for that
A freestyle to Bye Bye Bye?! I'd seriously like to see that!!!
It was awhile ago, and I don't know if there was any tape of it. All I know is that I want to see it too.... lol!
You're giving me ideas >.< Now I wonder where my old Nsync CD's are.
OMG! I'm so going to pull mine out and listen to it tommarow now...
I saw a 2nd level freestyle done to "Brown Eyed Girl" and it was fantastic.
The reason words are generally frowned upon is it can detract from the horse. But if you can find a song that really matches the horse, beat and theme, it won't matter if there are words or not
