Wanna see a foal born?
My friend's mare foaled yesterday! She has a video of the birth. Now, this was a scary birth. It was a red bag, aka Placenta Previa. What this means is the placenta detached prematurely, so now the foal is no longer getting oxygen. If the foal is not delivered QUICKLY it will have brain damage and/or suffocate and die :( You can hear the panic in their voices as they work quickly to deliver the foal! Red Bag Baby! Magic's Foal 1/26/10

Wow, that is absolutely incredible. I started crying when the foal started breathing and opened its eyes and looked around.
