I was wondering what is your favorite hoof supplement. At the moment I am feeding Dumors hoof supplement mainly because it is in a price range I can afford. I am using a hoof supplement becuase my gelding's feet get alittle split and chipped. He is barefoot and gets his feet trimmed every 6 weeks.

Danny has had shoes all around since his previous owner said his back feet cracked and chipped in hilly, rocky pastures. We pulled his back shoes Sunday when my farrier did his feet for the first time and found a minor fungus in his white line. My farrier recommended flax, so I chose Omega Horseshine. He just started on it last week, so we'll see how he does!

Make sure your horse get enough vitamin A, calcium and especialy zink and silicat. Lack of those are the most common reason why the hoof is getting fragtile~ Same for mane and tail. Make sure your horse gett enough from the food or as suppliment.

I use grand hoof. I love all the grand products. I also give flax seeds.

Belive it or not I give all my horses regular Gelatin....yep the kind that is used to make Jello.
My Farrier suggested it too me.....I was skeptical at first, but thought Id give it a try. Well I was sold. My TB mare you had the worst feet ever, went from brittle and chipped hooves to not having any issues at all.
I just use the plain Gelatin but you could use the flavored stuff if you wanted I suppose

^^ isnt that loaded with sugar though? I have herd of that being used before. I figured it was more expensive then a supplement.

Not the plain stuff. The flavoured stuff does have suger added, but the amount your putting in your horses feed (1 packet/day) wouldnt be enough to cause any concern starch wise IMO.
And it is cheap I buy a box of 24 for 2 bucks
