- - blanket size

my horse is between a size 78 and 81 blanket. i am about to order a new heavy weight one for him and im not sure which size to go with.
is it better to go bigger? or smaller? any ideas?

Well, in my opinion, it's better to go bigger. Just in case.... :wink:

I agree, bigger is better. If it's too small, it may be very tight on his shoulders (rubbing off his hair or preventing him from galloping around his pasture properly) or leave his rear out in the elements (depending on the blanket's fit).
A too big blanket may droop a little far off his butt, but shouldn't harm him. Just make sure the surcingle and rear leg straps are adjusted properly.

I agree :lol: Deffinetly go with a size up! It is better to have it be a little to big, than to small :lol:
