I have just brought a thoughbred mare and am dying to find out about her, But I have no info apart from her brand, I know she is on the thoughbred stud book but you now need to be a subscriber to do a brand search. I have traced her brand to Middlebrook Valley Lodge and Eclipe stud.

Her Brand is a U with a bar above it followed by MV and her numbers are 1 over 9.
Please please please could someone find out asap.. It's killing me.

What country are you in? Sounds like Australia or NZ maybe? I have searched the Jockey Club database for ID via lip tattoo numbers-- but thats for American TBs so probably not much help.

I'm in Australia. I know for a fact she is on the Thoughbred Stud book but to to do a brand search you now need to be a subcriber and i don't have a credit card so i can't do it myself.

Why not contact the stud's they should be able to let you know by her brand. Otherwise your mare should be microchipped. You can search the ASB website by microchip number.
