Hello, I'm brand new here. I have a general question. Whenever I braid for a show, my mare carries on and on to the point where I have to unbraid! She'll bring a back leg up to itch at the braids, and she throws her head up/rears because they annoy her. Not braiding is not an option.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to soothing products or tips to help the itch caused from braiding? She's a very sensitive mare and HATES to have her mane pulled as well. (I've found a way around that though).
Thanks so much!
Welcome to the forum! the only thing I can think of is applying some tea tree oil to relieve the itchiness. Odd that she only does it when you braid but thats the only thing that comes to mind.
Welcome!! Yeah I would suggest the tea tree oil also. Do you condition her mane when you shampoo it?
