Are there any NARHA certified instructors on this forum? What method did you use to gain your certification? I'm looking into trying to get my certification, but am undecided which route to take to get there. The offer training courses at 6 different Approved Training centers, all of which are several states away. Because my horses are kept at home, not to mention the rest of my critters, going away for a long stretch of time isn't really a viable option for me. The multi-step process obviously means more work, but I think might be a better option. There is a certified instructor offering mentoring to gain my 25 teaching hours, that is a half hour drive from my house. I am not sure where I would have to go or what is involved with the 2 day On site workshop and the clinic required, but being away from the farm for 2 days a couple times is a lot more feasible than being away for a week or two.
If anyone has any experiences to share I would greatly appreciate it!
