Do you think a twh would look good with his mane pulled?
I have a Tennessee walking horse gelding and he doesnt have the thickest mane and i was thinking about pulling/cutting it short to look a little more sporty. what do you think?
Personally I think he'd look great! He's a very handsome guy by the way =)
I think a full roach or short mohawk would look great on him too, I thin anything longer will just look too piddly.
I think all horses look bad with pulled manes. It's a stupid practice that frustrates riders and horses alike.
But then, I don't show... Although silly grooming practices are part of the reason why!
I beg to differ, my horse looks silly and ratty with his thin icky thoroughbred mane long..
You have a stunning looking horse. Don't make the mane any shorter. I agree, pulled manes look bad.
And your horse has such a beautiful head. The head on picture is just flat out gorgeous.
Personally, I wouldn't pull it or roach it. If you're worried about it being thin, get some of the hair growth stuff that the people on here talk about. I've been meaning to pick some up for my girl; just keep forgetting to grab it when I go to town. She has a thin mane right now. The new growth is about 4 inches long and stands straight up. From the one side she looks like she has a mohawk.
Is that your horse in the photos? If so, then leave his mane alone. It looks perfect the way it is.
Did you just get him? He looks great!
When I got my TWH, his mane was pretty ratty. But it's growing in really well. Just give it a chance, and maybe it will thicken up.
Nononononon, keep his mane how it is! It's beautiful now, and it would look not so great once it's pulled. I'm personally not a big fan of them pulled.
I'd say you should only chop off some mane if the horse was like this...
Thanks eveyone :)
