can't really tell just cut these are angled shots of him not standing square...from the first pic he looks a little ribby. How old is your Blu? |
approx. 7rys old |
ribby, back bone visible, front hoof looks long and maybe a little dishy but it could be the sun's light on the front legs. Anything more it is hard to tell about conformation horse needs to be standing more square. Sorry. what are you feeding? Worming alternating wormer's? She is a pretty color. She has kind eyes too! |
Ya, he's gained a lot since then. He's a hard keep sinc he was neglected and abused. Poor hoof care in the past and a BAD, BAD farrier caused a bad hoof. About 3lbs. of an Alfalfa/Grass hay mix morning and evening. Plus some beet pulp every other day. I just wormed him about a week ago...Ivermectin. Yup, he's a Few Spot. The first I've ever seen in real life! Heck, I didn't know there was such thing till I asked and did some research. He's unique and he's a beautiful boy! ( I love the brown snip on his nose! ) |

My hard to keep horse gets: 16oz rice bran, 16oz alphalfa cubes & 3.5 lbs of senior complete Triple Crown. All soaked in warm water so its highly digestible. She gets that twice a day besides her hay. :) I dont know much about critiquing conformation, but Blu is a cutie. |
Blu's confirmation Too ribby for my taste. Also, I think the hind quarters needs more muscle. The back hoofs look shorter than the front. Add some weight and exercise and this one's cute. Good luck! |
