I looked at a Shootist western saddle today. Great conditon made by the Austrailian Stock saddle Co. Does anyone have this saddle or know anything about it. I got a little info the the Aus. St, saddle Co. but no real details.
Anyways I am trying to find out what people have to say about it. If it does fit my horse my next question is "is it comfortable"? It does seem to have a narrow twist and imo I prefer a wider twist. They had a Bighorn Cordura also and it seemed more comfortable than the Shootist. The guy selling it claims it is very comfortable and him and his wife rode up to 8 hours when they rode. nice people and have sold their horses and are getting rid of all their tack as well as selling their horse so I do believe him.
They are $1,295.00 new on the website and they are selling this one for $850.00. It is 10 yrs old at the most and comes with girth, breastplate, backstrap, neoprene pad, full saddle zip up cover and saddlestand.
Please let me know how you like this saddle or not. I don't expect many to reply because before today I never even heard of it. They will bring it to my barn tomorrow so I can see how it fits. thanks for anyone whom replys...
