YouTube - lolwtfmichele's Channel
When you get to my page it should be the first video.
Video basically says it all!
I was quite proud of my mare :)
Coming down the wall after the change you can see her playful face!! She was a happy pony!!
Nice Michele. I looked pretty carefully and I couldn't see much lameness. She seems much better and hopefully you can start riding her.
Thanks Kevin! :)
Im super excited. I cant wait for tomorrow, and get the okay to keep working her.
hi keven and michele I wanted to ask if ihow long should a horse be lunged if he hasn't been rode in a year and a half he's been outdoors running and playing all winter ,just got him home 3 months ago and he is healthy
she is 10 years old and rode every day until his owner died ayear and half ago
I would make a new post for that. Only because I dont really want my thread Hi-jacked. Im sure theres a bunch of different opinions on that.
You should start another post but I wouldn't lunge her at all. Get on and ride her.
new here SORRY and thanks
Your Welcome. :) and Welcome to the forum
SOrry to reply to late
She definitely looks stiff but not so much lame. What did the vet say? Or did you post it somewhere else and I missed it? Also, just as an FYI I would watch where your body is when you are "lunging". I realize you do Parelli and some things are different than the norm with that program but you really want your hips and shoulders pointed at or behind the girth not way out in front of your horse. Just because all of my horses would plant their feet and refuse to move if you were way out there and trying to lunge them. So just something to think about if you ever work horses that you haven't trained =)
