Got some info on my arabian mare....
Well I got to get some of her bloodlines today. She is pure bred but I only have her dam's pedigree and some slight info on her sir.

The previous owners mom and sister (owner of mare, owner of stud) apparently had a family spat that turned into sis not turning over a copy of my mare's Sir's pedigree.

Thus I also discovered my mare is not registured. BUT I figured I could post up her mommas lines and what I know of her daddy. From what I can tell they are good lines...but she seems line bred.

Anywho here is her mommas stuff:

Bause's Dam's name is Sureella. This mare wasnt on allbreed...

Sureella's sir is Sueyn-Supreme, here is his pedigree:

Sureyn-supreme Arabian

and Sureella's Dam is Surela, Here is her pedigree:

Surela Arabian

So that is Bause's dam's full pedigree.

As for Bause's Sir.....I know his name is Desi...thats it...

I have a note with some names and such scribbled down and notes on breeding an such....I could only clearly read and thus find one name. Raffles. apparently he is on her Sir's side somewhere.

Here is Raffle's pedigree:
Raffles Arabian

So those are my findings!

As you can see Raffles and Raseyn(stud on her Dam's side) are both studs out of Skowronek. This stud shows up top, bottom, and sideways on Bause's pedigree...thats where I get the idea she is line bred.

So any comments? This all what I found based on my research from tonight lol Does someone with a bit more arab insight want to give me any more info? Im working towards getting a copy of her sir's full pedigree...dont think it will happen though...

She's quite typically Crabbet bred. The line breeding/in-breeding goes hand-in-hand with Crabbet lines - if your horse has *Raffles once, chances are about 99% that s/he'll have *Raffles again somewhere.

I like the Crabbet horses - they aren't known for being "pretty" so much as they're known for being athletic and useable with fantastic minds. She has pretty generic breeding - nothing stands out loudly as being uniquely special.

My Arabs have all been Crabbet/Egyptian crosses with similair pedigrees. I am in the same boat with having general ideas on parentage but not being 110% due to family issues with my Arabian mare. Here is the pedigree of my old Arab gelding:

Sunrae Playboy Arabian

Hey macabre, our horse's are related! I have Ansata Ibn Halima in my mare's pedigree, Haha. That's always fun to see.

Thanks for the info Macabre! your old gelding is related to her lol

Yup she isnt the most refined pretty arab but she is still beautiful to me lol She also has the traits you mentioned. She is super inteligant, if a bit nutty, and is a nice big strong girl. 15.3 hands and sturdy as a rock lol very athletic.

Got some similar bloodlines to my Khemosabi stallion though Raseyn. Probably related to a few of my mares, actually!
I like Mesaoud. He was a really nice horse. :)

More info!!!! Her sir's registared name is My Desert Seeker and his registration number is 0415288.

Issue is I cant fins him on any of the free sites....if anyone wants to help look and finds something feel free to post it here! Supposidly Her sir's sir was a champion endurance runner...I wont believe it till I see it lol though it wouldnt surprise me.

I think there is someone here who uses DataSource of AHA. I wish I had access to that program. I think TwilightArabians was offering to look up horses on DataSource, if you want to try PMing her. :)
ONE of these days CAHR will get something like it!

Go ask on arabianbreeders dot net. Most of those guys have datasource and they will look him up for you. If the stallion was also bred for endurance then he is also probably mostly CMK or crabbet, and since she is tall there is probably some polish out-crossing since skowronek breeding generally produces smaller horses with incredible forward reach and powerful movement. This is my favorite type of breeding, nice minds and great athletic bodies.

Haha, I was also going to guess she was gray, and then I realized you had a picture and BAM; she's gray! I obviously obsess over Arabians too much, lol.

More info! Nice lady on got me Bause's sir's pedigree! Link below:

You will see the link to it in thread off of arabian breeders. Apparently she does have some polish outcroping on this side. That is where she gets her size lol.
