I had a horrible fright this morning after feeding the girls. My OH called me back inside urgently, and when I got back in I saw him holding my puppy Doug (1yr old maltese x ****zu) and my eyes fell on the hugh dark red stain on his side
With tears automatically springing to my eyes I knelt down to assess the damage, after careful probing I could not find anything and Doug was looking at me with the 'what are you doing mum, your scaring me' look
Then it dawned on me, the rotten little sh!t had rolled on a plum, the trees of which have been dropping fruit everywhere, and it had stained his fur!
To repay him for scaring the living begeebaz out of me, he got a bath  that'll teach him
Geesh you had me worried. Glad it was just the plums. I ran over my momma dog a few months ago with the truck. I never have forgiven myself. She has lost the use of one of her front legs, but no other internal damage. She acts like her usual lovey self, like its no big deal that she is 3 legged. Good yours is fine, but I do know that feeling of the tears coming.
Glad to here he is ok!! I would have been so worried and freaked out! :(
Wow that is quite a story! Whew, I'm glad he's okay. :D
Phewww you had me worried there for a second! Im glad he was ok!!!
 Gosh! You got to love animals, they certainly keep us worried and keep us on our toes!
 :o :D
Funny little buggers the things they do........
Aint that the truth.
I get a little bit paranoid ith the dogs though as my border collie is a tiny bit accident prone.
One year he paralysed his back end just by playing fetch (he got better, no serious permanent damage) the next year he thought he'd jump the fence but chose the wrong spot and got himself caught on a star dropper (metal stake) he was very close to giving himself a sex change
So of course when I saw the stain on Doug's coat I immediately thought the worst. But hopefully he doesn't take after his best mate!
