Western Pleasure/Hunter Under Saddle Prospects?
I'm thinking about taking a look at these two horses becuase the same woman owns them both. I was wondering based on the poor pictures and pedigrees if they should make a nice wp or hus prospect .
This is the horse I'm actually the most interested in...

but they also have this guy!

btw I'm pretty sure I'm going to be giving Spud away now... I like him but he will never grow into what I want and I only took him becuase I felt sorry for him which wasnt an ideal reason for taking him on, and I'd like somthing I can work on and ride this summer... It stinks becuase I can only have one horse at a time, but I'm sure I can find him a home. At least he got his shots, coggins, was dewormed and depending who takes him I'm willing to give them the money to get him gelded also...
I think they are both fairly average, but I like the Gucci horse just a little bit better. Got any video?
Hmm. Impossible to tell from these photos, IMO. Especially Gucci with a side view.
So much depends on movement, too. They're both nice-looking horses, don't get me wrong, but pretty doesn't necessarily equate a performance horse.
Like the other poster said, I would ask for video. That would tell us a lot.
Agree with Gottaride, I like the Gucci horse better. I can't really tell anything about him but there is something about him that I just like more than the other one.
I just got fully body photos... I'm not impressed and I really don't think I am even going to look at them .
Glad to hear you say that. I did follow a link that provided side views of the Gucci horse. He was not a horse I would be interested in, either. Too much angle to the shoulder and so probably won't move well in the front. I didn't like the way his hip was tied into his back, either. Nor did I like how straight up and down his back legs were. Experience has taught me a horse with that type of leg won't be deep hocked. All that said, a video would have confirmed my suspicions and so who knows? LOL.
The second one is a little wonky just about everywhere. The first is cute but you can't tell confo from those pics. What are you looking for particularly? I'm in PA as well and I've been coming across some pretty nice all-round prospects for decent money lately. I will pass along any info I get in the future.
