I would say i Selle Francias becuase i had to do a research report on them. I learned many facts about their strength, agility, ect. They are excellent jumpers.

Gosh, why are TB's not on the list?

I don't think you can make such a generalization about any particular breed. The best is any horse with the heart to do the job, IMO.

Well, right now they are taking all those breeds and crossing them with TBs to lighten them up and give them more heart and athleticism. TBs are also very high on the list for H/Js and are very common. More so than most of the warmbloods on your list. Trakhener's are also becoming more popular. So your list is a little skewed to my way of thinking. Is there a particular reason that you posted this list? I personally don't like any of those breeds well enough to want to do H/J on them.

Im assuming by the smiley next to French trotter, that is your preferred.

Any horse can jump. Just not all can do it well. I'm going to go with... Shetland.

I'd think Hanoverian, but personally I'd go with TB!

@SeWHC: an 8 and right apostrophe automatically turn into a smiley with sunglasses. I don't think that had anything to do with the OP's preference.

@ the OP: As SeWHC said, any horse can jump, some do it well and some don't. With the exceptions of the Gelderlander, Selle Francais, and the French Trotter, the breeds that you have listed are generally dressage breeds. To my knowledge, Gelderlanders and French Trotters are bred to be carriage horses. Given that, from this list I would have to choose the Selle Francais as a jumper, but it seems unwise to generalize that far when there are individuals within the breed with more or less raw talent, training differences, etc.

I'll choose a TB over any of those horses any day! :) What TBs sometimes lack in fanciness they more than make up for in stamina, athleticism, honesty, and heart.

From the list- I'm going Holsteiner, although all the above listed breeds have individuals at the Grand Prix level. Holsteiners are known for their jumping ability and bascule and there are alot of them in the jumper scene. They are also popular as hunters in the US.
