Antique old Saddle
This is an old saddle that I have been told is an antique. I really just don't have the time or need to pay a pro to do the research on it, but it could be worth alot. I really just want in gone, and I am attaching pics. Highest offer, or first reasonable offer gets it. Buyer pays shipping or pick up. :) Let me know
*The saddle blanket under it is not for sale. Just used to hide the crate that the saddle was on.

If that doesn't work, email me and I will send you some
Thats just a link to your harddrive. =)
You can upload pics to photobucket.com for free and post them.
I'd love to see the saddle!
Sorry I will try to get some pics up :)
That's one of them. I have a bunch. I am looking to sell so let me know if you can offer. Shipping might be a little costly
REALLY NEEDS TO GO. Reasonable offers accepted. Got quoted a value of about $750.00
Would like it gone asap
I'm Nutty Saddler's OH.
Is there a maker's name on the saddle? If you have really been quoted $750 for it, I am on the next plane to the USA with all our ancient (and not so ancient - that one doesn't look terribly ancient compared to some we have on our wall!) English saddles! They are worth next to nothing in the UK (or out here) and are often given away to hang on pub walls!
Most of the time, older style saddles need so much repair and re-flocking to make them useable/comfortable/safe, it's not worth doing. Also, I think I can see some damage to the seat - Not 100% certain, it might be the light - but if so, re-seating is an expensive job.
Is the tree sound? Is it spring tree or fixed?
Have you got any more photos of it from other angles: Front arch-on, cantle-on, side-on? Sorry for all the questions....Just interested. :-) (and thinking about booking a plane ticket over there with excess baggage....!)
We had a bonfire with a load in the UK! (Maybe I should have sold them as antiques!) It prevented them falling into the hands of people who might actually put them on a horse...they were so structurally unsound they weren't worth repairing and would be horrid on a horse. Some I kept to 'autopsy' - it's the best sort of training, taking a saddle apart.
Would be great to see more photos. :-) Thanks :-)
Um, well I can get more pictures, but there is no maker I don't thinkg. It has 'TNT' engraved on the back cantle and LIZA engraved under the gullet.
Cute saddle, but I agree, worth next to nothing. Maybe $25? $45? But not even that if the tree isn't sound. It would help to know the seat size and tree width, and if the tree is sound.
