Top quality western show gear for sale - inc. saddle!
I'm selling this stuff for a friend who used to show Appies at the national level but has switched disciplines. All of this stuff has been used for shows, well taken care of, and stored in appropriate bags/boxes in a smoke-free home.
1. Dale Chavez Sterling Silver Supreme show saddle with bag.
This is a SERIOUSLY nice saddle. I believe the silver pattern is discontinued, so chances are you won't find another like this. It's 17.5" from the base of the pommel to the cantle, and I believe it has full QH bars - the owner will let me know for sure tonight. I'm going to give it a good cleaning, and will get new pics after, but I just snapped these. As you can see, there are a couple of little scuffs on the seat, but these obviously are invisible when you're in the saddle. It also comes with a black therapeutic cinch, and there is a blank rectangle on the cantle silver, presumably for someone to engrave their name. This saddle originally retailed for $4600, and is for sale for $2000 negotiable.
I had a hard time getting the true color in the pics - the flash made it a bright red, when it's more of a traditional light oil color.
The silver also looks dingy in these pics because I took them in low light - I'm going to take it outside tomorrow and take some more, because these babies GLEAM.
As you can see, the cinch isn't really in top show condition - it's still perfectly servicable for local shows/schooling, but for the big state shows you'll probably want something nicer looking.
2. Nocona Belt Co. Belt Buckle - Barely Used.
This belt buckle measure 3.5" wide by 2.5" tall, and really is super cute. I was tempted to throw it on with my Tailored Sportsmans ;) It's only been used once or twice, and is in the original box. It features a pretty floral design and classy sky-blue rhinestone accents - perfect for adding a bit of bling to your show look! Retail price is $24.50, owner is asking $18.00 Negotiable.
3. Bailey Hat - almost new
I was told this is a 7 1/4 but I will measure it for sure later. It looks brand new, and has "Ty Murray 20x Beaver" printed in the inside rim. It does come with a proper hat box that I do not have right now, at the moment it is being stored in a spare box. The owner bought this for a little over $200 new - it has only been used a few times and is $175 negotiable.
4. Brown Western Boots
I'm not sure on the brand of these boots, but I do know that they're size 10 (ladies) and were used for Western classes at the ApHC shows. They're pretty basic boots that could be worn with just about anything. They do have a couple of very small scratches that aren't really noticable, and could be buffed over with a brown shoe polish. They are super comfy (yep, tried 'em on!) and I think they look like a nice, workmanlike boot to wear if you don't fancy the in-your-face bling. They are a casual fit (they are slightly fitted, but certainly not like English boots) and come up to around the widest point of the calf.
5. Mike Beers Reinsman Saddle Pad
34" inches down spine, 16" length. This is a black wool pad with a Tacky Too bottom. It's in super condition but it needs a bit of a clean, which I'll do tonight - other than that, it looks fantastic. It was only ever used for shows, and only a few, at that.
Retails for $119, asking $90 negotiable.
If there are any other details/pics/measurements you need, let me know!!
I am not even a western rider anymore, but that is a really beautiful saddle.
Wowza! What a gorgeous saddle. I have a friend in the market but her budget is around $1500 or under. I might have to talk her into this one so I can borrow it LOL So pretty!
:) I've never really ridden Western but even I can tell that it's nice! I could sit here for ages just looking at all the little details! I love the acorns!
Too bad it doesn't have cup holders, though.
