Help me with hair growth.

I have a 4yr old QH gelding, grey. He has the worst coat i have ever seen. Its almost as if he has something wrong with him and he cannot develop a natural coat like other horses can. He gets a winter coat, but his mane stays short and ugly all year. His tail is about as thin as a appy's and no matter what coat suppliment i feed him or what i put on him or what i do his coat will not get healthy. He has a salt block and i message conditioner into his dock weekly. I never brush his tail with a brush, always with my fingers so not to have any breakage. But nothing seems to work. His mane is worse, its un-even and ratty. He has dandriff horribly bad. What should i do?

There's a kind of all in one detangler, growth inducer, conditioner called MTG (stands for mane tail groom) that works really well for these kinds of problems. It's made by Shapleys.

Also, if you put Listerine in their mane and tail, it can kill off parasites and improve skin health to decrease dandruff and improve overall health.

I use the MTG, very awesome stuff.

I've never heard of using Listerine though! How would I go about using that?

Someone, sorry I don't remember who and I have given this recipe several times, posted this
1/3 listerine
1/3 ac vinagar
1/3 water
mixed in spray bottle and applied to tail dock for hair growth.
I use the MTG but plan on trying this in the spring. Vida's hair grows fine but she has terrible dry flaky skin on her tail.
They also said you could add baby oil to this mixture for added moisture, but I think lanolin would work better.

Yes, it's exactly like vida said. Dilute the Listerine with water (cuz straight listerine is a waste of money) and just spray it on or rub it in.
