Has anyone heard about the new points rule in Kentucky? Any AQH born and registered in Kentucky can get money off of erning points. If just one point is earned. You get a check from the state. This is bull. Now these good horsen't that arn't Kentucky bred and resigestered the prices are going to lower for next to nothing. This is going to turn into a monopoly. Huge farms are moving to Kentucky. The state pays you alot of money for each point earned. It adds up quickly. Whats going to happen to the horses that arn't Kentucky bred? They are suddenly trash? Worth nothing? I think this is wrong, horribly wrong.
Well... thats the whole point of points in the AQHA. You get paid. I may be wrong but I don't think this is exclusive to Kentucky.

It has changed now. People who have Kentucky bred and registered Quarter horses (from what i understand) are getting a check for over 2,000 for each point. Huge farms are buying property down there and moving.
Omg... $2000 per point!? Holy S#$% :!:

That's a bunch of bull.
So I guess the other horses aren't worth anything? Jesus...the rules these days!

Thats what im saying i mean if you have a $10,000 horse. Now its price is reduced drematically. It puts the other qh's to same. Kentucky wants to be "the horse state" The only state where you can buy a horse that will actually win. Its pathetic

They did it to boost their own state's equine economy. Must not have given it any thought how it would affect the rest of North America. Having a KY bred will definately be a great selling point. Imagine getting that much money per point, on TOP of IF money. WOW.
But it will defineatly hurt the rest of us.

Thats not fair and I think that if it is going to go for one state then it should go for all, and not only that the AQHA didn't even start in Kentucky first off so why should Kentucky bred horses get money for points?
