- - Body Clippers?

Do you have a preference on a type of body clipper? I'm planning on getting some in the near future. I do lean towards Whal brand, so if you have a preference within that, great! But share all opinions!:D

So, as you know, I don't have body clippers myself... but my previous trainer (CCI**** experienced) and a person who is going Prelim now both use Oster clippers.
I've heard nothing but good things about Wahls too.

I like Andis & Wahl :)
Both are excellent clippers. Haven't tried Osters, but like drew, I've heard good things about them.

Being a Dog Groomer - I like my Osters :)
I don't clip my hores, but I see others doing so at the barn we board at and I see them using Osters as well.

I've always used Osters on both our horses and dogs.

Any specific model?

OSTER CLIPMASTERS. Hands down, without a doubt. I cannot imagine attempting a body clip without them. Does Wahl even carry a body clipper? Maybe, don't know! Everyone I know uses clipmasters! They're huge, heavy, but very very powerful. Makes it much easier to give your horse a more professional looking body clip. For legs, face, and trim work (around the mane and base of tail) or any time I'm clipping for a show but not body clipping, I use Oster PowerPro Ultras. Oster A5s are spectacular as well. Those are my favorite "regular" clippers but I'm sure there are some other great models out there. But body clippers? Clipmasters.
