Boot and glove reccomendations needed
Okay, so my paddock boots and schooling gloves need to be replaced. There's just so many brands and types to choose from that I don't even know where to begin. I'll just post what I have and why they're not working for me.
Current boots: Ariat rubber, pull-on, muck/paddock boots
The problem: Don't offer enough support for my feet, leak, I've worn away the soles, heavy/clunky, not the right size
What I need: A sturdy pair of short boots that can be used for work and riding. I ride both western and eglish. When riding western, I just use the boots. When I ride english, I use half chaps and sometimes spurs. I just need something that can be used in all weather (it doesn't get very cold here though) and that will support my feet. I'd prefer zippers instead of laces just for ease of use. I'd also like them easy to care for.
(alternative: should I buy separate work shoes and paddock boots?)
Budget: $50-75 USD
Current gloves: Heritage Competition gloves

The problem: Material is getting scruffy looking, has holes (which I've already sewed once)
What I need: A washable pair of schooling gloves that will allow my hands to breath, will protect me somewhat against rain, and will last for a long time.
Budget: $25 USD
I actually like the gloves a lot. I just expected them to last longer than a year.
I'd love to heard your suggestions and reccomendations! :-) Links to websites would also be helpful since I will be purchasing thse online. (We don't really have any stores here that sell riding apparel)
I like Mountain Horse Boots personally. They are designed for the rugged rider, meaning a rider who is tough on their equipment through daily rigerous riding. Endurance Riders, those who work in their boots and then ride in their boots - etc, etc.
Take a look into their products. I don't use Paddock Boots, but I love their tall boots.
Gloves, I love Heritage Gloves, that's all I keep in my tack trunk.
^ Thanks! I'm looking at some of their paddock boots right now. One model can either have a zipper in the front or in the back... Which one do you think is a better choice?
What kind of gloves from Heritage do you use?
Anyone else have boots or gloves that they love?
SSG All Weather gloves are GREAT for everyday riding. I use other SSG's for shows and they don't cost more than $30.
The boots I ride in are out of the price range posted but Ariat Performer paddock boots are awesome.
SSG's eh, I had a pair but they fell apart at the finger tips. I might have to try those one's Drew!
I do love my SSG's, though. Which gloves do I use particularily?
I have these winter ones. LOVE THEM!!!!!! I have had mine for a couple of years now. I wear them all winter long actually, riding and during my daily life away from the barn.
I just got these show one's. They are soft and comfortable, haven't used them much since they are just newish:
I have these one's, in black and I wore them for 3 summers, and they are just breaking down on me now. The weaving or knitting is now coming apart:
I also have these one's. They are thin, cool and comfortable.
But my favorite out of all of those are these:
I have the fun print one's in Cheetah, Stars and one other pattern I cannot think of right now.
These are my BE ALL END ALL gloves:

I have them in black and tan. They are fantastic. The tan pair has lasted me for 3+ seasons now. They break in wonderfully and breathe like a dream. Wouldn't recommend them for winter, but as a spring/summer/fall glove they are excellent. They aren't a super expensive glove either, which means they can be replaced easily without killing the budget. As long as these are around, I refuse to pay $45 for a pair of gloves. :D
Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'm going to buying these gloves: Heritage Lds Perf Solid Gloves and Velcro Closure Synthetic Schooling Glove*|*EQUESTRIAN COLLECTIONS.COM
And maybe these boots: MH SCS3 Sterling Back Zip Paddock-Lds and Back Zipper Paddock Boots*|*EQUESTRIAN COLLECTIONS.COM
I can't say I am partial to any brand of boots because all of my boots have been second-hand custom made boots that just happen to fit me (I'd probably have to get custom made boots anyways, sigh).
And as for gloves, I always look around and find whatever is cheap. I don't have a need for buying anything fancy - my current ones cost me $3, and they've kept up with me for a while so far.
