Feeding supplements to picky horses
I have a horse that loves to jump(as do I) but gets very stiff in her joints when I do jump. I try and use supplements in her feed, but the ones I have tried are either expensive, powder doesnt stick, or she doesn't like the flavor. I used to use cortaflex but it didnt seem to make much difference because the powder does not stick to the grain. I have been just buying MSM and Gluocausamine tablets instead but need a way to get the powder to stick to the grain. I would rather not use Sweet Feed. I have been making my own creation of apple, carrot and oatmeal puree in my blender. She seems to like it but I wanted your insight or if there were anyother techniques yall knew of! :D

if she doesnt like the flavour or the powders dont stick, maybe you could try mixing them in some mollasses and then adding that to the feed. there arent many horses who can resist mollasses :)

Both mine don't like molasses, Jazzy. :) I use honey instead.

You can add water to the MSM to make a little paste.
I use msm for my mare and I add a little water and an apple mashed and she slurps it up. She is also really picky too.
sounds like you have a yummy mash going though!!!
